For the third year running, Cameroon has opted to amend its Finance Act in the middle of the fiscal year. Through an ordinance signed on June 20th, 2024 by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya, the government of this Central African country has amended certain provisions of the law of December 19th, 2023 and inserted others. This was done with a view of achieving the development objectives it had set itself.
The search for optimal resources to finance its ambitions has prompted Cameroon to review, for example, the provisions related to the balance of resources and expenditure in the State budget. In all, 13 articles of the Finance Act have been modified, while three new articles have been added to complete existing provisions.
